Terms & Condition.

The website and listed services on this website provided by Clean Steps – The Shoe Laundry with incorporated as Clean Steps Private Limited (hereinafter referred to as "Company") are subject to the following Terms & Conditions (hereinafter the "Agreement"), all parts and sub-parts of which are specifically incorporated by reference here. This Agreement shall govern the use of all pages on this website (hereinafter collectively referred to as "Website") and any services provided by or on this Website ("Services").

WHEREAS, this agreement is strictly between the Company and the Customer, and does not in any way constitute or imply any relationship with any other parties. As a condition to using any of Company's services, and for the mutual benefit of both Company and the Customer, the undersigned ("Customer") agrees to the following terms and conditions:


1) Definitions:


We, Us, Our, Ours, these terms will be referred to as the “Company”, while You, Your, Yours will be referred to as the “Customer”.


2) Our Services:

Cleaning service includes cleaning the footwear or bag from in and out. Laces, Straps, Insoles if removable are cleaned separately, and then aligned after the drying process on shoes or Bags. Thereafter the items are deodorized using Shoe Perfumes and Anti - Fungal Sprays then packed in an Anti Dust Packaging to keep the items fresh and intact. Please note that sports / casual / cloth/canvas shoes or bags are cleaned with a water-based deodorizing cleaning process to allow it to deeply remove the dust and dirt. Suede/nubuck / Leather pairs or bags are cleaned by a non-water-based cleaning process using wax polish or suede polish as the material of the leather is. Before submitting the Shoe/Bags/ Helmet / Jacket, Please check for repairs and damages if any at your end to avoid confusion and keep us informed before the pickup happens. The final inspection happens at the workshop and we would keep you informed of any repair or damages if found. Clean Steps  will not be held responsible for any such damages that come up during the final inspection. On the safer side, we request you to keep your shoe images intact with you or share them with us as well to perform the work faster and smoother.



3) Pickup and Delivery:

  1. Express/Urgent delivery will be charged extra over the regular tariff.

  2. Customers are requested to examine the articles at the time of delivery; Clean Steps  will not be held responsible for any damages that are found after delivery of processed articles

  3. If you are not satisfied with the quality of any service offered, customers should get in touch with the company within 24 hours for resolution. Any claim after the stipulated time shall not be entertained.

  4. We put in our best efforts to ensure timely pick-up and delivery; however, there might be incidents beyond our control or incidences of Force Majeure where we are unable to stick to the timelines. In such cases, the customer cannot claim any compensation, refunds, or any reduction in charges.

  5. We would not take any responsibility for the items of the customer beyond 3 (three)weeks of the scheduled delivery date.

  6. Customers are requested to count the articles at the time of delivery and inform the delivery man in case of missing articles. The company will not be responsible for any such claims after the delivery of the articles has been accepted.

  7. Some processes/items may require an additional period to process. No deduction on billed amount or claim can be initiated against in respect of delays.

  8. Conveyance charges are charged based on the number of pairs being submitted and your location of Pick-Up and Drop. However, this being a varied subject, the Same Customers may have different Conveyance Charges on different Occasions depending upon our route. Conveyance Charges will be the final decision of Clean Steps  management.

  9. Sometimes we may use a third-party delivery executive to collect or deliver.

  10. We only provide bags during delivery and don’t provide bags during pickup. Customers have to provide their bags when handing over the shoes to the pickup executive.

  11. Once the items are collected, customers will receive a confirmation on their WhatsApp number.


4) Cancellation Policy:

  1. There goes an effort and cost to pick up your items and make them reach the workshop on time to facilitate the services. Hence, Please note that once the pickup boy has reached your location for pick up or the item has been picked up and reaches our workshop and then the order is cancelled due to any reason whatsoever by us or by you, the cancellation or visiting charges of Rs.200/- will be applicable. We accept only Online Payment for Cancelled Orders or collecting Visiting Charges.

  2. If the items reach the workshop and if you wish to cancel the order, a fee of Rs.200/- will be applicable. 

5) Damages:

  1. We would be putting in our best efforts to remove any stains or unwanted marks on the items provided for cleaning; however, we cannot guarantee 100% removal of stains or marks.

  2. Customers will have no claim whatsoever or no right to ask for deduction in processing charges on account of this.

  3. Before sending any item for dry-cleaning please makes sure that it can be cleaned with water.

  4. If any sole is made of biodegradable material and breaks during the cleaning process, Clean Steps  will not be liable.

  5. We shall not be held responsible for damage to articles that cannot withstand the normal cleaning or dry cleaning process. We shall not be held responsible for articles that are damaged due to the ageing process of inferior quality.

  6. We will not be responsible for fastness, skin peel, colour bleed, colour running, damaged sole, and shrinkage, damages to embellishments, or embroidery work on the articles during processing. In case if these problems occur, we will try to resolve this issue at no cost.

  7. We shall not be held responsible for any ornaments or jewellery fittings on your article getting damaged during the processing.

  8. We shall not be held responsible for shrinkage, damage, cuts, holes, scratches, stains, etc. becoming apparent during the wash process due to defective manufacturing, adulteration, deterioration, wear & tear, and exposure to the environment.

  9. In case any damage occurs during the processing for any reasons other than the ones outlined above, the compensation for the customer would be limited to 5 times the value of the charges specified to the customer for the processing or Rs.5,000/-, whichever is lower.

  10. Any loss/damage/delay due to FORCE MAJEURE conditions, the company will not be liable for any compensation or reduction in charges.


6) Loss:

  1. We accept no liability for any loss or damage to items arising due to fire, burglary, etc. which are beyond our control or similar incidences.

  2. We would not take any responsibility for valuables/article/cash, etc. inadvertently kept in the articles which are mutilated or unrecoverable after processing.

  3. In case any shoes get loss during the cleaning or pickup or delivery process, the compensation for the customer would be limited to 5 times the value of the charges specified to the customer for the processing or Rs.5,000/-, whichever is lower.

  4. In case of loss of any accessories like insole, lace, strap,etc a best possible replacement will be provided to the customer. The customer cannot claim any refund or compensation.

  5. Any loss/damage/delay due to FORCE MAJEURE conditions, the company will not be liable for any compensation or reduction in charges.

  6. We accept no liability for any loss or damage of the articles arising due to fire, burglary, etc. beyond conduct or any other similar unforeseen causes.

7) Payments:

  1. The company does not provide printed bills, and invoices will be sent by e-mail or WhatsApp on your registered mobile number.

  2. The customer has to pay the entire amount after the successful delivery of the order.

  3. Rates mentioned already include tax and won’t be charged over and above to the customer.

  4. Bill amount may change after final quotation

  5. In the case of Cancellation, the amount has to be transferred only which the item will leave for delivery.


8) Coupons and Discounts:

Valid coupons will be available on our website. Coupons applied on previous orders cannot be applied on the current order. Once an order is placed and an invoice is generated,a coupon can't be applied.


9) Privacy Policy:

The Company never sells your personal information like phone number, address, or email id with any third party. The Company may hire other companies to provide limited administrative and communication services on companies behalf, such as hosting Sites, the processing and delivery of mailings, providing customer support, or providing credit card processing services. The Company has the right to disclose your Personal Information to these third-party companies to administer and maintain the Site and App's features, functions, and operations. Those companies will be permitted to obtain only such Personal Information as necessary for them to deliver the respective services, and we do not authorize these companies to use your Personal Information except for the sole purpose of providing those services requested by us.

10) Links to Other Sites:

The Company doesn't hold any liability on account of damages occurred of any kind from the content published on our website.


11) Distribution of Information:

The content of this website is an intellectual property of the Company. Any distribution whatsoever will not be tolerated and shall be punishable by law.


12) Prohibited Use of Website:

Impersonating or imitating someone else shall be liable for legal action accordingly.

13) Content Permission and Restriction:

Any imitation or distribution of content on this website for any purpose shall be treated as infringement and shall be punishable by law. Publishing of any third-party content is prohibited and shall be liable for legal action.


14) Modifications and Changes to the Agreement:

We reserve the right to cancel/modify/change the terms and conditions at any point in time without any prior intimation or notice.

15) Force Majeure:

The company will not be liable for any default, delay, or lapse occurring due to events beyond their control including riots, strikes, theft, war, or acts of God or nature. Under the terms of this Agreement, “Force Majeure” will mean acts of God, strikes, lockouts, other industrial disturbances, acts of the public enemy, laws and regulations, wars or war-like action, arrests or other restraints of governments (civil or military), blockades, insurrections, riots, epidemics, landslides, lightning, earthquakes, hurricanes, fires, storms, floods, civil disturbances, confiscation or seizure by any government or public authority, and any other similar causes, that are not reasonably within the control of the parties.


16) Severability:

In the event, any provision of this agreement is deemed invalid or unenforceable, in whole or in part, that part shall be severed from the remainder of the agreement and all other provisions will continue in full force and effect as valid and enforceable.


17) Legal Binding:

The customers hereby agree that all the provisions of this agreement shall be legally binding upon them and it is enforceable in the Indian Court of Law.


18) Governing Law and Jurisdiction:

It is intended that this agreement will be conducted and executed fully under the laws of India. In the event of any dispute over this agreement, this agreement will be interpreted by the laws of India.


19) Important Note:

This is to inform everyone that the above terms and conditions are being shared with you only with the motive of providing a smooth service and avoid any kind of confusion between the customer and service provider. Based on the past experiences and issue tackling process, we have very carefully drafted the above terms to be able to run the whole process of shoe and bag care and bring smiles to you in the most sought after manner
